Jeremy Park's giant book "Footpath Philosophers"

Jeremy Park's giant book "Footpath Philosophers"  is currently on display at the State Library. Jeremy teamed up with designers Wisebrownfox and the printing company Digital Press to produce the over sized book of portraits. Jeremy found and photographed all the subjects on the streets of Surry Hills.

Jason Loucas photographes the Porsche "Women with Drive" initiative

Last week Jason Loucas was in the Hunter Valley photographing the Porsche Initiative called "Women with Drive". Porsche sent out six prominent journalists (in Porsches, naturally) to meet with local women doing incredible things.  Lisa McGuigan, winemaker; Lisa Margan, restauranteur; Satsuko, Ogishi Artist/Glassblower; and Rose Lambert, Cheese Maker. From the photos it looks like they had an incredible time. Wish I was invited!

Jason Furnari and the new Mercedes

These shots are from a recent shoot that Jason Furnari did for Wheels Magazine (May 2012 Issue). Here's what he had to say about it:

"The car is a Mercedes C63 AMG Black. It is currently the only one in the country and was first shown at the Australian 2012 Formula 1. Strange fact but only 32 of these $265,000 cars will be sent to Australia and they have all been pre sold!
 
The locations used were all around an industrial area of Geelong in Victoria. We chose the industrial locations to match the industrial feel to the car. The car is the fastest, strongest, revved up adaptation of a normal Merecedes C-class.... with triple the power. Just to give you and idea...it has a top speed, electronically limited to 300 kmph."

Janyon's personal project: Street Fighters

We love it when our photographers make the effort to work on their own personal projects and Janyon is always up to something. Here is his latest project: Street Fighters.

"This is an offshoot from the personal work on Boxers that I have been tinkering with. I was wanting to capture a realistic energy and aggression and achieve it all in-camera rather than a comp. Also, I wanted it to feel underground and dangerous. Sort of a nod to Guy Ritchie's fight scenes I suppose."
